------> Etsy Shop Lust <------
I'm going to try out something new here on ye olde blog. I thought it would be fun to give random shout-outs to Etsy shops that I'm currently loving. I find some pretty awesome sellers on a regular basis...and I feel like I should share them with my readers!  Today's shoppe (<--- oh fancy) is "Mint and Arrows." I already own one of their hair ties and 2 more are on the way. They are so soft and comfortable - no headaches. I may end up purchasing a couple once a month or so. ;) At $6 per tie...who can say no? I highly recommend them!

Birchbox Un-boxing | September 2013

My September Birchbox was in the mailbox when we got home from Montgomery last night. After a long day with the kids - I was excited to plop down/relax and open up my package. In my opinion, this box is pretty lame.  :( Let's chat about it's contents...

My favorite item in the box is probably the nail polish. I just finished "quickly" painting my toes - they look alright. Fox Hunt is a nice burnt orange shade with a bit of shimmer. I have tried several "Yes To" products before and I feel kinda (meh) about their stuff. The cleansing facial towelettes are always on clearance at Target. I think I got a couple packs for like .88 cents a piece one time. (I have never tried the CC cream before) The eye serum is pretty interesting...maybe I will end up enjoying it? A girl can never have too many serums lol. Oh - and the "Blow Up Spray" is a surprisingly good size bottle. I know I have seemed like I'm groaning about this month's box - but don't let this particular post be a turn-off to Birchbox...all beauty boxes have their ups and downs. Birchbox is pretty good at redeeming themselves.

Tomorrow is Monday folks - are you as bummed about that as I am? It is my birthday week though! :)

Birchbox Un-boxing | August 2013

Another late post! Ugh - I'm working on it folks! You should see me right now...my body is not used to all this new activity yet. I have compression socks and a back pain patch on lol. I feel/look like I'm 80 - Matt has gotten a good laugh out of it. Blogging from the sofa...oh yeah!

Full-size, $9.50

Full-size, $25.95

Full-size, $39

Set of 3, $24

Assorted Teas | Full-size, $7-$16

Personally, I feel like the Party Proof Lipstick is what saved this months box from being a total dud. I'm all about some matte lips. Plus, it's a great neutral shade! The packaging is absolutely adorable.
The only other product that I find the least bit interesting is the Green Apple Peel. (What is up with all these facial peels?) I had one in my July box too. I definitely plan on using it though...Juice Beauty is a great brand. I may end up using the Fresh Feet Wipes. Every now and then a dirty-foot-related-catastrophe occurs in the Cherry home. (Dog poop etc lol) How was your Friday? I made cookies and took them to work. I think the guys really enjoyed them. :) Working at Mammoth has been a lot of fun so far - I love it.

Birchbox Un-boxing | July 2013

It's Birchbox time again y'all! :) I'm so sorry I have not posted in the last couple of days, Matt and I snuck away to Atlanta for the weekend. (Silas and Miri-less photos below) ;) I got to shop in a two-story Forever 21 for like 2.5 hours lol. (poor poor husband) I may have to do an OOTD with some of the the stuff I purchased. We had a blast.

-------------------------
The next two photos were taken using my grandmother's Olympus E-410 camera. I'm toying around with the idea of purchasing an SLR - so I wanted to try one out.

Eyeko | Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Full-size, $16

Kerastase | Chroma Thermique - Protect
Full-size, $42

Vivant Skin Care | Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash
Full-size, $31

Purminerals | CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40
Full-size, $38

Birchbox | Bobby Pins
Set of Six, $5

Unlike last month's box, I was really excited about this one. My skin has been going absolutely cray lately. :( I have a dermatologist appointment scheduled for next month. (Not soon enough!) I only called them 3 months ago for this appointment! Does it take you that long to make an appointment with your doctor? (Geez louise) So maybe the acid wash can work some miracle for me? I'm also pretty stoked about trying out this CC Cream, I think I may apply some of that before I run to Target in a bit and see how it does. Yesterday I tried the liner and I found it pretty tricky to use. I wish it was in brown - it would totally rock as a brow pen! (Alas, it's purple) I have to say that I'm least excited about the Kerastase hair goop, I already have so many different kinds of conditioners. I am willing to give it a try though. :)

Birchbox Unboxing | May 2013

Before I get started with the unboxing business, I would like to take a moment to ask you to "Like" my Facebook page (HERE) Thanks! ;)
It's Birchbox time y'all! :)

I really like this month's box. I was pretty intrigued by every product inside, which is a rarity.

Full-size, $32

Full-size, $19 each

Set of 4 mini pencils, $21

Full-size, $20

When I opened the box yesterday the first thing I noticed was the strong blueberry scent (the shave cream.) I'm pretty excited about trying that out. Secondly, I noticed the DevaCurl 3-Step System. I used to have super curly hair. After I had both of my kids it has gone almost straight, how weird is that? So i'm interested in seeing if this can kick up some good curl-age. (If it actually works I plan on buying all three of these products) This box also came with a PureWhite hybrid ink pen (not listed on the little Birchbox card inside the box.) It's pretty nifty and the ink matches the pretty teal color on the pen. (It also included a $1 off coupon for the pen) I did get a chance to play around with the eyeliner yesterday too. It may be the best eyeliner that is currently in my makeup drawer. :)

Birchbox Unboxing | March 2013

March 2013 Birchbox
Just a little late. ;)
I recently decided that I would go back to Birchbox. I originally started out with their beauty boxes and then changed over to ipsy and now I'm back again (for good). ipsy lacks in the high end beauty products department. Plus their website/customer service sucks, but enough about ipsy. On to the unboxing!

Full-size, $39.95
Full-size, $18
Full-size, $18
Full-size, $29-50
Full-size, $36
Full-size, $5

The stinkin' adorable coffee mug was purchased from the Starbucks inside my local Target today for around $4 after taxes. :)

I'm particularly excited about the SAGE + fasten perfume. MY GOD IT SMELLS DIVINE.

FYI: My lack of posts recently is sadly due to the passing of my grandmother-in-law. It has been a devastatingly hard blow to our family. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
