Review | OneCoffee Organic Single Serve Coffee

A lot of my friends and family own Keurig coffee makers. They are a convenient way to grab a decent cup of coffee in the morning and dash out the front door.
These one-cup coffee makers are in tons of peoples homes - but have you ever thought about how wasteful they are? One plastic cup gets wasted for every cup brewed. (It's kinda disturbing) I don't think people even realize the environmental ramifications. This is why I'm really impressed with Canterbury Coffee's OneCoffee 90% Biodegradable Organic single serve pods! (Canterbury is Canada's second largest coffee chain) Standard K-Cups contain a plastic coffee filter, grounds, and a foil top with no easy way to separate everything for recycling. :/
Seriously...look at it...how cool is that? Both of my parents were shocked when I unwrapped this decaf pod. The pods are individually wrapped for freshness and safety. (Does that fit the Keurig?) Why, yes - it totally fits the Keurig...and it was delicious to boot! You can find them in the following blends: French Roast, Breakfast Blend, Decaf Dark, Colombian, Peruvian, Sumatran, Ethiopian, and Variety pack.
OneCoffee is also suitable for people who are Vegan, Halal, Kosher, and they are BPA free. :) Currently - I believe they are only sold over in Canada. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy them in the US soon!

Canterbury Coffee began in 1981 as a micro-roaster in Richmond, BC. When the company opened it's doors, they roasted only 100% Arabica coffees - a decision that still stands today. :)

Review | e.l.f Essential Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick

I was perusing around Target the other night as I normally do, when I spotted this fancy little eyeshadow stick. For only $2 who could say no?
Photo taken from the e.l.f website.

I really love e.l.f cosmetics. Everything they sell is pretty much $3 and below. If you buy something and it totally sucks - whatever! Throw it away and don't make that mistake again. The eyeshadow that I picked up (pictured above) was only $2. I figured it was worth the risk.

My main concern with this shadow was the wearability. The back of the packaging suggested that you use eyelid primer. I took this as a really bad sign. I imagined HORRIBLE creasing by 5:00 in the afternoon. After wearing it for a full day I was pleasantly surprised. (I did use Urban Decay primer before I applied it.)

I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not a fan of the texture. It leaves your eyelids feeling very sticky. This probably is due to the vitamin e that it contains. Other than that, I think that it has a pretty good bang for the buck. The stick created a nice smokey eye that would be ideal for day or night. (Even though you may need a bit of a touch-up at some point.) Hell, keep one in your purse and one in your makeup bag at home...it will cost you all of $4. Whoopie-doodle. I expected to slap it on like the Maybelline color tattoo shadows - but it takes a little bit more effort to apply than those do.

If you are interested in looking at all of the e.l.f products check out your local Target or Wal-mart. I was very pleased recently to find out that Wal-mart was selling e.l.f cosmetics. Their section seemed to be larger and better stocked than my local Target's.

Birchbox Unboxing | March 2013

March 2013 Birchbox
Just a little late. ;)
I recently decided that I would go back to Birchbox. I originally started out with their beauty boxes and then changed over to ipsy and now I'm back again (for good). ipsy lacks in the high end beauty products department. Plus their website/customer service sucks, but enough about ipsy. On to the unboxing!

The stinkin' adorable coffee mug was purchased from the Starbucks inside my local Target today for around $4 after taxes. :)

I'm particularly excited about the SAGE + fasten perfume. MY GOD IT SMELLS DIVINE.

FYI: My lack of posts recently is sadly due to the passing of my grandmother-in-law. It has been a devastatingly hard blow to our family. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
