Review | Balm Chicky Balm Balm's Huge Cucumber

See what I did there? lol

Guys - this lip balm company is pure genius. Everything about it impresses/makes me giggle...right down to the very box it was packaged in. All of their balms are 100% natural and they feature a unique patented "friend end." How many times have you been minding your own business while applying your lip balm - when your girlfriend comes out of nowhere like Batman and is all like "oooh - can I borrow your lip balm?" -_- Too many times right? The "friend end" is a separate chamber of product for your friends to enjoy that is located on the opposite end of the tube. (So they can share their crusty lip germs amongst themselves and not with you) Yum. The flavor that I chose is "Huge Cucumber." It seemed to be the most scandalously named out of the bunch, so naturally I went with it. I might have also picked it because the man on the tube reminds me of Paul Rudd (in Anchorman)...he's so fine. Here is a list of the flavors that they currently have for sale in their shop.
Huge Cucumber (how many times can I say it in one post?) smells pretty fantastic. It seems heavier on the hemp seed than cucumber scent. That doesn't bother me one bit though - I love all things hemp. It reminds me of a balm that I used to buy at the Whole Foods Market in Winter Park, FL. It has a slight shimmer to it which I was a little disappointed about. Maybe it's because I'm becoming an old lady and I can't handle glittery things? (Ahh, my eyes) Maybe I should embrace more glitter in my life? Anyways - it's not really that noticeable...but it's there. Simply put, it doesn't look like a disco on your lips. I usually apply it every night before I hit the sack. I always wake up the next morning with baby soft lips. Here is a list of the ingredients!
Organic: extra virgin olive oil, palm oil, hemp seed oil, beeswax, rosemary, vitamin E, fresh mint, and cucumber.
I plan on picking up the "Hot Chocolate Love" next. Do yourself a favor and check out their stuff. I really admire a company with this sense of humor, and I'm sure you will too. ;)

OOTD | Vintage On A Budget

Since recently losing (almost all) of my baby weight, I've gotten obsessed with vintage clothes again. I'm thinking I may start only buying vintage actually. I just love everything about it, especially the price! The photo below is my outfit of the day for Tuesday.
Now - I know that this outfit isn't everybody's cup of tea, and I completely understand if you are uninterested in this post. Bottom line is that I like it and that is all that matters. The cool thing is that nobody in Target will be spotted wearing the same thing while I'm out shopping. ;) So how much does this total outfit cost? If you include my necklace...

Necklace - $4.20 (After the 30% off coupon) from Kohls
Blouse - $1.99 from Mission Thrift Store in Auburn, Alabama (it's very figure flattering)
Black skinny jeans - $3.00 Plato's Closet in Auburn, Alabama
= $9.19 people!

I took my hubby Matt on my thrift store visit this past Saturday. He hates thrifting but humors me when I express an interest in going. (Thanks love!) I had about 5 tops in my hand and we narrowed it down to 2. He didn't care much for either of the blouses I picked out but he knows how things go. He always hates what I buy and then I put it on and he says "wow, that's adorable...how do you do it?" So, I win! ;) If you are ever in the area, Mission Thrift Store has great prices. Most of the tops I was browsing through were only $1.99 each. Plato's Closet is also a great place to find deals. It's weird because so many people I know have never been. It's pretty much the nicest thrift store you could ever go to. So go check it out - they have locations all over the place. You will end up spending a good bit more at Plato's though.
I hope your having a nice Wednesday! :)

Review | Hard Candy Nail Polish #651 black tie optional

I was browsing through the makeup section at Wal-mart earlier today and I found this little gem. It's a polish from Hard Candy's "Crystal Confetti" line. It was a total steal at only $4.00! I've noticed the speckled egg trend on Pinterest lately and I adore it. I've only been able to find this style polish on etsy, so I was pretty excited when I spotted it in a local store. I think it looks really lovely layered over my Sally Hansen Xtreme wear nail color in #340 Mint Sorbet. I think the next time I make a Wally-world run I'm going to pick up another one of their polishes from their "Candy Sprinkles" line. How is it that their polishes have gone un-noticed until now? I am absolutely loving them! :)

Dynamic Duo :)

I hope everybody had a nice weekend. We had a blast at 280 Boogie in Waverly, Alabama.

Silas Sunday

Daddy snapped this photo of Silas during his Easter egg hunt today. His outfit was $21.80 with tax from JCPenney. :) I hate that you can't see the shorts. They were a cute plaid print.
