Gardein Review & Giveaway!

Watch-out-now! It's a fat-mcfatty-food-post! I've been a vegetarian since early 2007. It is seriously one of the best decisions I've ever made. (Now - if only I could convince my husband to join me lol.) Today I'm going to talk about Gardein. They are the maker of deliciously meatless foods, and you have to give them a try! (Even Matt likes their food!)
Mmm...what a tasty Kroger haul. I'm a little sad though, because I couldn't find the classic style buffalo wings or the crispy chick'n sliders. (Bummer) Their food is just phenomenal, it's really better than most meat substitutes I have tried. (I have tried a lot.) I would have to say that the little burger sliders are probably my favorite so far.
(Does this remind you of crabby patties from Spongebob too lol?)
These little things are only 150 calories! That makes me pretty darn happy, considering I'm currently on a diet. They also make great healthy snacks for your little ones. Some people might try to whine about the price - but you have to consider that each package contains multiple servings. The only thing that disappoints me about Gardein is the limited selection in my area. There are so many drool-worthy options on their website...and like 4 different kinds at the grocery stores. (Boo-hiss-boo) I will just go ahead and blame all that business on Kroger and Publix. I should probably just be thankful that I can find them at all. (Where to buy?) I also have to recommend their chipotle lime crispy fingers. (Not pictured) I cooked some of those in the camper on our recent beach trip, and my entire family thought they smelled amazing.

Now onto the really exciting part! You can give Gardein a try for FREE.

It's a giveaway y'all! All you have to do is follow the steps below to enter. The lucky winner will receive this snazzy neoprene lunch bag with 3 free product coupons! Fancy!

Review | Physician's Formula Organic Wear FakeOut Mascara

A couple of days ago I stumbled across a printable rebate form for this mascara. (You can find the form located here) I've been reluctant to stray from my current mascara fave, the L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara. (Review here) But what did I have to lose? I mean...free mascara? Yes please. Oooh, look at the lovely packaging...pretty normal for Physician's Formula. (They rarely disappoint in that department.)
Physician's Formula Organic Wear FakeOut Mascara
According to their site, this mascara is the first ever with 100% natural origin lash extension fibers. (Nifty) I have noticed that my eyes are watering much less while I'm wearing this kind. So that is pretty darn interesting. It delivers the same effect as the L'Oreal mascara, it's just less clumpy. (Not AS dramatic but close.) Sadly, the FakeOut mascara is NOT waterproof like the L'Oreal. So there is something to think about before purchasing.

(Ohhh, a fancy comparison collage with text!)

Physician's Formula likes to brag on this oversized brush. (Meh) It's a good bit larger than the wands I'm used to dealing with. I don't personally feel like it does anything special. It just makes it a little awkward to apply. (Maybe it's just me?)
(Are you trying to compensate for something Mr. Brush?)

LOL all silly-ness aside. I really do recommend this mascara, (especially with the rebate form) it left my lashes feeling very conditioned and looking loverly. I will probably see if my mom wants to try it out. She is always looking for a mascara that doesn't irritate her eyes.

Oh, before I go...my hubby is taking me to see The Great Gatsby this weekend! I'm really excited! Have any of you guys seen it? Check out Grav3yardgirl's (Get ready with me - Gatsby edition) It's a super fun video, I wish I could have dressed up for the premier.

Look at these cuties! I still don't know how I snapped the photo in time. :) Love it.

Review | Katy Perry Lashes by Eylure

This review is the first of two false lash reviews I will be posting this week. Both sets are by the brand Eylure. Naturally, since I am a bumbling idiot when it comes to applying false lashes...I grabbed the self-adhesive pair first. I think applying false lashes is a skill that develops over time. So I'm sure there is hope for me yet. ;)
Oh so cute packaging ^^ I love the retro feel.
From what I can tell, each box is different. (Visit the link above and you will see what I mean) That makes re-purchasing them so much easier. For example, when I go to Ulta next time I will just grab the "orange" box. :)

These lashes were fantastically quick and easy to apply. I'm so use to dealing with messy glue. When I initially examined the lashes I was worried that they weren't natural looking enough for me. I was really wrong. Once I applied them they blended right in with my real lashes and didn't look "fake" at all. They were super lightweight and comfortable too. :)

See how natural and fantastic they look? ^^ I'm very pleased with them. Did I mention they are reusable? (They also include a second glue strip)

I applied a little bit of black liquid eyeliner in the inside corner of my eye to hide the glue line. If you have mad skills in lash application this step probably won't be necessary.

Lastly, a nice side view. :) I really do recommend this line of Eylure lashes. Color me very impressed folks! (Go buy yourself a pair!) Also, more stores than just Ulta sell them. I just happened to use Ulta's link.

I hope everybody is having a great Thursday!
