Review | Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color

When it comes to lipstick I'm super lazy. I rarely re-apply. I just grab a napkin and wipe off the remaining product. Such is the life of a busy mama. So - I was wandering around Walgreens the other day looking at the pricey extended wear lipsticks when I spotted this beauty.
Let me type that out one more time for you. $1.99! This is the ultimate dupe folks. Some of the other brands I scanned over (and have begrudgingly purchased before) range from $7-11! I mean come on...you just can't beat Wet N Wild. I only picked up one in shade 921A Red My Mind. I'm definitely going to have to go back and purchase several others. I applied this bad boy early yesterday morning and wiped it off with makeup remover late last night. Color me impressed.
I will say it is pretty drying, as are most extended wear lipsticks/stains. I'm willing to live with that, it's worth it getting to be this lazy lol. I just make sure I apply a gloss at night when I go to sleep. Gotta hydrate! I'll let you guys know which other colors I pick up on my next drugstore trip.

Also, if you are digging my clear makeup bag featured in the first photo in this post. I purchased it at Wal-mart for around $3. I wanted a smaller clear makeup bag to travel with. I was using a giant caboodles case...it was just too big.

Review | Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush

I'm just going to go ahead and say it. I bought this strictly because of the packaging lol. I mean look at it...
The price I'm posting is straight off the Physicians Formula website. I actually snagged it over at Kroger for around $8-ish. (It had a coupon attached to it) I've also spotted it at Target with a coupon. As you can tell, I stalked this blush at several stores before I purchased it lol. I took the above photo after testing it a couple of times. The heel on the shoe isn't as sparkly as originally was. The whole thing is just so darn adorable! I guess I should talk about the actual blush? If I have to...
The shade I picked up is the "natural" shade. I regret choosing this one. I should have gone for the "rose." I'm pretty fair. (I'm trying to take care of my skin now that I'm getting close to the big 30) I will be 27 in September, kinda-not-really 30. So...very little sun for me. This blush barely does anything. I've actually decided to use it strictly as a highlighter. I'm pretty disappointed with it. I couldn't even get the swatch to pick up on camera. The below photo is the best I could manage.
I will say that it smells divine. It claims be infused with pheromone mimicking ingredients. Let's just say it smells like warm vanilla and cocoa extract. I love it. I don't really understand what it's trying to accomplish though. Am I supposed to feel sexier? Is it supposed to turn my man on? My man was really weirded out when I asked him to sniff my face lol. So at least we accomplished that! Either way, it makes your face smell yummy which is a plus.

What do I think? Let's break it down...
It's a bit on the pricey side.
The packaging = amaze-balls
The product = so so blush, nice highlighter
Would I re-purchase it when I run out? No.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I have a "empties" post I am going to try and get up soon. :)

Review | Hard Candy Nail Polish #651 black tie optional

I was browsing through the makeup section at Wal-mart earlier today and I found this little gem. It's a polish from Hard Candy's "Crystal Confetti" line. It was a total steal at only $4.00! I've noticed the speckled egg trend on Pinterest lately and I adore it. I've only been able to find this style polish on etsy, so I was pretty excited when I spotted it in a local store. I think it looks really lovely layered over my Sally Hansen Xtreme wear nail color in #340 Mint Sorbet. I think the next time I make a Wally-world run I'm going to pick up another one of their polishes from their "Candy Sprinkles" line. How is it that their polishes have gone un-noticed until now? I am absolutely loving them! :)

Dynamic Duo :)

I hope everybody had a nice weekend. We had a blast at 280 Boogie in Waverly, Alabama.

Review | L'Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara

Let me start off by saying that I have stubby disappointing lashes. It is something that I have just had to come to terms with over the years. What else isn't fair? The fact that my husband and son have the most amazing lashes I've ever seen. Ugh, life. So...I have spent countless dollars in the search for the perfect mascara, only to end up disappointed. Folks, I have an announcement...I have found a mascara that finally makes me happy!
$8.99

This little gold tube has started popping up all over youtube recently, and for good reason. Why L'Oreal decided to not stamp their name on it I'm not sure. I have seen many a review where they can't remember the actual brand of the mascara. It's L'Oreal people! I'm so stinking impressed with it. :)

If you look closely you can see the fibers mentioned in the name. Want another plus? It's waterproof! I have found it to be very long lasting and it doesn't end up all over my face at the end of the day. (I hate when that happens) To my knowledge, it is only available in two shades. I'm a "blackest black you can get" kind of a girl. You can't tell in the above photo but the precision brush is a little angled. I find it very easy to apply. You end up with a more dramatic effect if you have multiple coats. (Let it dry in-between) Also, L'Oreal claims it is Ophthalmologist and allergy tested. I need to let my Mom know about that...she was asking about it. She has very finicky eyes.

This photo isn't the best representation of the product. It was really hard to get a good shot. I'm hooked on the fibers. I don't think I will ever have a mascara without them ever again. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to take off. But I think it's worth the extra effort. ;) Go out and get some of this stuff and let me know what you think below.

I have to say that I am least excited about the Ojon oil. Even though I am aware that Ojon makes quality products. It just seems like every beauty box that I have gotten over the past 6 months has included a hair oil. Needless to say, I have a plethora of oil on my hands lol.

If you are interested in subscribing to Birchbox, you can do so (HERE.) I really enjoy it.

Eyeshadow and Yogurt and Perfume! Oh My! | Mini Reviews

I apologize for this blog in advance, it's all over the place. Forgive me.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow
#40 Tenacious Teal
I'm going to start off with the eyeshadow. I got it in the mail yesterday evening and I "think" I like it. Out of the three Color Tattoo shadows I have purchased it is definitely my least favorite. For some reason, Mimi from The Drew Carey Show appeared in my mirror after I applied it lol. (JK, it's not that bad!) I think it's just a shocking change since I've been wearing only neutrals for over a year now. I'm still really pleased with this line of products. What do you think?
Go ahead and chuckle at the eyelid photo, I am aware it looks silly.

Yesterday we did a little grocery shopping at Wal-mart. (Not my favorite place) I'm trying to lose some baby weight since having Miri and my hubby is dieting along with me. :) So, we ended up in the yogurt section. Matt has been eating a lot of Chobani yogurt, he really loves that brand. I'm usually not a fan of greek yogurt, I find them a bit too bitter for my taste. But, I am absolutely loving these...Chobani Yogurt - Almond Coco Loco. (Have mercy)
I'm sad because I only grabbed two yesterday. I think I may have to go back later today and grab about ten more lol. They were only 99 cents a piece! Check out the link above, so many flavors! I only saw this one and the Key Lime Crumble. (That one was not as good as this one) This particular one is 230 calories, not bad if you use them to replace a meal. I'm going to have to scour the yogurt aisle to try and find these other flavors. It feels like i'm eating dessert instead of yogurt, this makes me very happy.

The last mini review for today is going to feature my very favorite perfume, Benefit Cosmetics - so hooked on Carmella.
Why yes, that is a Flynn Rider doll in the background...no, it doesn't belong to Miri. Don't judge me. ;)
The first time I smelled this perfume, it was love at first sniff. I got a sample of it in a gift bag that I got for being in my friend Joy's wedding. That was in October, and I got a full size bottle as a Christmas present the following December. (This bottle is my second one) That was in 2011? Having a baby ruins all sense of time. (Ugh)
Benefit never disappoints, the bottle is lovely. The box it comes in is even lovelier. (Sorry, I discarded it a long time ago or I would include a photo) The price isn't too shabby either, the link I posted above takes you to the Benefit website where it is listed for $36. (You can probably get a decent deal on eBay) I have to say that this perfume has the longest wear time of any of the scents I own. I can put it on in the morning and it will still be going strong that evening. It's not overpowering either! I can't seem to get enough of it.
Top notes: lemon, grapefruit, rhubarb
Middle notes: cyclamen, peony, tiare flower,
Bottom notes: vanilla, sandalwood, amber
I just think it smells like a fabulous bake shop. :) Definitely go sample this perfume.

Review | Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-Licious Golden Shimmer Conditioner

I figured I would start my post with my Silas Sunday photo. :) I took this yesterday with my new Canon PowerShot A4000 camera. So far I'm pretty pleased with it. Now, on to the review!

I'm always drawn to got2b products, they always have such fun packaging. The price is never bad either. Here is my most recent purchase.

When I first spied these at Wal-mart, I almost bought the conditioner as well as the shampoo. I'm really glad I didn't. After years of damaging my hair...like really damaging it lol...(My friends and family could tell you some stories) I consider myself a bit of a conditioner connoisseur. (Conditioner snob maybe?) Like I said before A+ on the packaging, I also enjoy the smell. It claims to have "Triple Oils of argan, white grape seed and marula." It sounds great, because I'm a huge fan of argan oil. I gave this product several chances to impress me but it just didn't happen. I even tried varying amounts every time I would shower. :( It isn't very creamy and proved really hard to apply, even with my shower comb. It didn't make my hair softer, it just made it feel disgusting. (Sad times) It just left my hair looking dull and unclean. I didn't notice any "improved shine" that it claims to provide. I plan on giving it to my sister later today. Even thought she will probably hate it too lol. (She has really long Taylor Swift hair, I'm super jealous) Plus, let the photo below speak for itself.
See it? When you see it you read it like Dory from Finding Nemo, even though it isn't spelled correctly lol. My husband did the exact same thing as I did when he saw it. Escape'! This spelling error just adds to my disappointment with the product. [le sigh]

Before I go I have to mention a eyeshadow that I purchased a couple of days ago. (This one is positive!) This is going to be short and sweet because I already did a full review for another shade. (Here) This one is #30 Pomegranate Punk from the Maybelline Color Tattoo line.

See, I wasn't lying when I said I wanted to go grab all the other colors. I purchased this shade from CVS and the Emerald shade off eBay. I will post pictures when that one arrives in the mail.

Isn't it lovely? I can't get enough of these! :)
I hope the rest of your weekend is fabulous! We are headed to a Mad Men party tonight. Photos later!

Review | Wet N Wild Fergie Shimmer Palette

For some reason I have been on a Fergie or "fergalicious" kick lately. My first find was an amazing pair of black heels that were Fergie brand at the mall. Maybe I should post pictures of those later? (I bought them for a Mad Men party on Sunday) My second find was this gorgeous luminizer from Walgreens yesterday.
It was one of those love at first sight moments for me. I've been searching for the perfect luminizer for awhile now. With a price tag of $5.99 I just couldn't say no. (For 0.4 oz) Plus, I had a gift card...cha-ching.
I have to say that I think Wet N Wild is really stepping up their game, I really adore this collection. (View it here) Like their other products, this shimmer palette is high pigment. It claims that you can wear it wet or dry. I have only tried applying it dry, I guess tomorrow I may try it wet. It creates the perfect summer glow. (Tired Mamas can also benefit from a glow) All in all, I'm really pleased with this product. Go check out the Fergie collection at your local drugstore!

Review | Alex and Ani

Last year for my 26th birthday my lovely sister-in-law Christine gave me a Alex and Ani bangle. I can now say that I am completely obsessed. My favorite finish is the Russian Gold.

These bangles make the greatest gifts. I know what I am getting my sister-in-laws every year for their birthdays for the next several years. ;) shhh, don't tell them. They go great with any outfit and feel so personal, and they are expandable! (So no worries about them not fitting.) Above, you can see my "M" bangle for Miri, I'm supposed to get my "S" for Silas bangle for Mother's Day. When I went in search for the "M" bangle I found that the Alex and Ani website was sold out. This is when I discovered my Nordstrom deal.
Free shipping. Free returns. All the time. :) They had the "M" bangle I was searching for in the correct finish and everything. (Excite!) Plus, free shipping! For some reason I feel like it might have been tax free as well. (View Nordstrom's Alex and Ani selection) So even if you don't get it tax free you are still saving $6.88 in shipping, and you get access to the sold out pieces. This company and their jewelry line get a big thumbs up from this girl. Go check them out right this second.

Check out their "Charity By Design" section. When bracelets from this collection are purchased, 20% of the proceeds go to different charities. Want even more pros? They are made in the USA and are made from recycled materials. How awesome is that?
